sustainable building network

The purpose of the Sustainable Building Network is to provide a means of sharing green building information and resources among building-related organizations to further promote sustainable building practices in Manitoba.

Many of these organizations offer programs for their members as part of the member benefits but also offer the program to non-members on a cost-plus basis. By networking with a diversity of groups, we are further able to supplement the diversity of program material available to Manitoba Chapter members. Participating organizations may be a part of the Network without membership with the Manitoba Chapter.

The organizations already participating in the Network are:
- Building Energy Management Manitoba (BEMM)
- National Research Council (NRC)
- International Facility Management Association
- Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
- Manitoba Hydro
- Manitoba Association of Architects (MAA)
- American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
- Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of Manitoba (APEGM)
- University of Manitoba - Faculty of Architecture
- Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA)
- Professional Interior Designers Institute of Manitoba (PIDIM)

Participant groups in the Green Building Network will be invited to meet once a year to evaluate the benefit of the Network and its operation, and how it might grow and adjust to provide the most value as a resource in Manitoba's building community.
